Angel

Angel and her brother Dodger were at a shelter in VA, where no one felt comfortable about adopting them out to anyone who didn't really know the breed, so they asked if we would take them in to find them homes. We took them into the system and found that they were everything we'd been told…sweet, loving, playful, and gentle. We chose the names Angel and Dodger because the brother was always dodging the bigger dogs as they played and the sister was just the sweetest little angel.
A young couple came in to our adoption day at the store, saw the kids, and decided that they would like to adopt them both. So, in July the kids went to live in their new home with their new mom and dad, and a little baby girl. The couple was delighted with the two fur kids who were very gentle with the baby, giving her tons of kisses.
The couple was moving to a new home in November where they were to have a nice big fenced in yard for the kids to play in. Unfortunately, one day while the kids were in the yard of the townhouse they were at that time living, they escaped. The couple immediately ran out to find them and was able to get Angel back safely. Sadly, Dodger was across the street on Rt. 1 when they finally caught up to him. He darted across the street trying to get to his parents and was hit and killed by a passing car in rush hour traffic.
Angel moved into her new home with her family a couple of weeks later. Her mom and dad eventually got another companion for her to play with in her new yard.
