Cole

Cole is a female
black lab/chow mix. She weighs about
50lbs and is around 8 years old. She’s
primarily an inside dog but is trained to go outside to go to the
bathroom. She loves to be outside, but
in a fenced in yard because she tends to be easily distracted and runs off if
not on a leash. Cole really enjoys going
for walks often. She is affectionate and
craves attention, and she loves to lie on her back and have her belly
rubbed.
Cole unfortunately
can be picky as to whom she likes when meeting strangers. Most people are not a problem, yet some she
will attempt to bite. She seems to like
women better for some reason, and has no problems with the children that she
knows. Yet a child that is extremely
rambunctious would probably not work well with her. She doesn’t seem to get along well with other
dogs or cats and it’s for this reason that her mom is looking for a new home
for Cole.
Cole’s dad has had her
for seven years, so is obviously attached to her. However, January he will be moving in with his
fiancé, who has two cats and an 11-year-old little girl that often goes in and
out of the house leaving doors open.
There are too many potentially serious issues to contend with if her dad
were to try to keep Cole. His heart
would be broken if he found that she had fallen into the hands of people who
fight dogs or were to mistreat her or neglect her. He needs to find someone
that can take care of and love her as much as he does. Cole’s dad would have to
keep her before she was to be put down and he doesn’t really like the idea of
her spending her days in a cage. He
really doesn’t have an option of keeping her because of the living situation
with his fiancé.
