Lehua is one of six puppies born to her parents, Simba and Baby, in the foster family's guest room 29 June 1999.
Lehua's sister's (Kapeka) mom and dad wanted to adopt her as well, but Lehua was scared of the dad and would not warm up in time for them to be able to take her with them when they moved to upper state New York. So, we continued to try and find a home for her. Lehua is a very sweet little girl, but like her siblings, very shy of those she doesn't know. Ultimately, her foster family decided to keep her and her brother Keali'i, so she is in a home where she is well loved and cared for.
When Kapeka was moving to upstate New York, we took her sisters Lehua and Makana Aloha for a last play date. The following are pictures of them from that farewell visit.

Lehua is a sweet little girl who loves giving kisses, hugging, and playing. She likes to cuddle with her humans, and will stay in bed as long as her humans do and even after that. She is a very playful little girl who likes running and playing with her doggie friends.
