Lexie was a very sweet, albeit scared little puppy. She had been turned over to Chow Rescue by her owner who had some serious personal reversals and could no longer provide a home for Lexie. Lexie had been abused at one point, so consequently, she was very timid of people.

After taking Lexie to adoption days at the PetsMart, she began to come around. One day a lady came into the store with her brother and his wife who were looking for a new Chow. They had fallen in love with Chas, a spunky, loving, little, black, male Chow. Meanwhile, the sister fell in love with Lexie and decided to add her to her own household that included herself and her senior Lab, Chappie. Being as she lives directly next door to her brother, Chas and Lexie are the best of friends and get to play with one another all the time, running between the two back yards that are accessible by a gate.
