Molly 2005

Molly is a very, very sweet little girl who had the unfortunate experience of being turned into the Burlington County Pound, NJ. This county pound has a close to 80% kill rate. She is such a sweet dog it is hard to imagine why her owners just threw her away.

A little over a week ago the SPCA located a hoarder in Burlington County and collected 33 animals from his home. The animals were all taken to the Burlington County Pound. As a result all of the animals at the pound were immediately put in jeopardy of being PTS to make space for the 33 animals. The first animals marked were all of the owner surrenders.

There was a concerted joint effort made by 4 Guardian Angels: Steph (Chowdren) , Lynne (AFEW Rescue), Joanne & Donna (B.A.R.K.S) to try to pull this little girl and others for a week. Molly was next in-line to go. An urgent plea went out the middle of last week and Lynne's father dropped everything and ran to pull her from the pound. Lynne's Dad was able to get Molly and bring her home.

Lynne went after work and picked up Molly and took her to a halfway point where she had arranged to meet Joanne from BARKS. Lynne described Molly as just a sweetheart and very, very affectionate. Joanne picked up Molly and then transferred her to Donna who vetted little Molly. Donna and her Vet describe Molly as a very sweet and easy to manage dog who would make a nice addition to any family. She was wonderful through blood work, x-rays, and examination. She was limping a little when rescued - we were concerned that she was injured. But the good news is she is in good health.

Molly is definitely a very special girl and through the grace of her guardian angels (and Lynne's Dad) is still alive today.
