Oliver

Oliver 2001

Oliver 7/02

Oliver was a puppy at the Richmond shelter when we received the call on him. We had a family interested in getting a Chow puppy as they already had an adult Chow they'd gotten from us a while before in need of a companion. So, we told them about the puppy and they said they'd take him, sight unseen. The drive was made, the pup picked up, and then delivered to his new home. His new parents named him Oliver.

Oliver and his new big brother got along really well and loved each other. They were great company for each other. Eventually they added another fur brother to the mix, and then a flesh baby girl. But Oliver and his first older brother were having problems, and fights would break out between them. Finally, Oliver's mom and dad decided that they needed to find a new home for Oliver as it wasn't fair for him to live in his crate so much and live in unhappy circumstances.

Oliver is a really sweet boy, but is a bit shy with strangers. He likes to get up into bed with you from time to time and curl up with you to sleep. He likes to get lots of attention and follow you around, but he is very stingy with kisses...he comes close, but not quite. He loves his little flesh sister and lets her do anything. He wants to play with the other dogs, but is rather clumsy in his attempts. Sometimes he growls at the others with distrust, but still wants to play with them. He is normally a rather quiet boy who just wants to be loved. He would be a great family addition for someone who will give him enough patience to warm up and feel safe with them.
