Popoki

April 1999

We were at a kennel one day where we sometimes board some of the fur kids. While there, the owner of the kennel asked if we could possibly place a couple of kittens for him. The kittens were Munchkins whose breeder had placed them at the kennel for them to find homes, as they were throwbacks, with longer legs. So we took the two kittens.

We adopted out the one kitten, and kept the other as a companion to our aging kitty who had just lost his littermate brother recently. We named the kitten Popoki. Popoki was a very sweet, affectionate, little calico. She loved playing with the other kitties. But one day she became very ill.

We took Popoki to our vet and found out that she had FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Far too soon, on 8/31/99 Popoki left us for her trip over the Rainbow Bridge.
