Tiki
Tiki is a gorgeous Chow mix, between 4 and 5 years young, who started life as a family pet. Sadly, he was kept tied outside his whole life. Then his family dumped him at an upstate, NY, animal shelter "because they had to move." Despite his commanding presence (he could be mixed with Rottweiler, hence the gorgeous blocky head) he is a sweetheart, an affectionate MUSH who loves to cuddle right up and give hugs, kissing you with his regal purple tongue and staring deep into your eyes with the most soulful expression. He's a bit scared of sudden loud noises, but has developed a wonderful, muscular physique by running energetically in his own enclosed dog run with three other dog friends (two females and one male). He's great with men, women, kids, and other dogs (haven't tested him with cats, so don't know). Please help him find a forever home! Contact: Julia Szabo, 212-426-7358 (day or evening).
