Tori

November 27, 1999
Tori came to Chow Rescue of Northern Virginia in June 1998 from the Montgomery County Animal Shelter. When we first saw her she could barely see with her eyes all encrusted shut with a severe case of entropian. Not long after we got her, we had the surgery done to fix her eyes.
Before Tori had the surgery done, a young couple came in to the store met her, and put an application for adoption in on her. When we delivered Tori to her new home, she was still wearing her Elizabethan Collar and needed eye medication applied. Tori's new parents took really good care of her during her recuperation. Tori was a little slow in housebreaking, so we advised her parents to crate train her. They did as we suggested, and eventually won the battle.
Tori's mom and dad added a new member to the family unit in the form of their baby boy, Brian. Eventually they came to us looking to adopt a second Chow as companion to Tori. They adopted Sydney September 2000, who also had a problem with housebreaking, but they persevered and eventually won the battle once again. Not long later, Tori's mom and dad brought yet another son home. At this point, we decided there must be a direct link to the adoptions of the Chows and the births of their sons ;-}
