When Bear first came to us, he was named Woofy. A family that had always had Chows contacted us in 1996 looking for a new addition to their home. We took Bear to their home and it was love. They had a cat at the time, and for a while they were able to make it work. But eventually it was discovered that the mother was very allergic to the cat, so the daughter took the cat home with her. It was decided that Bear needed a companion, so they got Saba as a puppy from a local breeder.
